QKSite is a free utility that has been previously used for creating web sites quickly. It was last used in 2007 but now has been brought out and dusted off to work again. Its main purpose is to run scripts of manual and boring tasks that are required for researching, creating or maintaining sites and will be of particular use to Internet marketers.
Why is this?
Because I personally need a utility like this and I am currently working in this area. Other utilities out there, although brilliant in some cases, either required money paid or didn’t quite do all the things I expect QKSite to eventually do.
It was used up until 2007 by a bunch of Internet marketers (what is the collective name for them?) but as I devoted less and less time to it I left it alone. The old version possibily now needs to be brought up to the most recent technologies, although at the moment I do not see any real replacement of them. Also I felt it needs to be more collaborative. I mean it needs to be useful across many people and when changes take place on the Internet and new tasks appear then updates scripts can be shared quickly and easily without needing loads of people redoing any of it.
So I plan this to be free … I would like it to stay that way but you can be sure I will use advertising wherever possible to sustain it, hopefully enough income from that will allow me to spend more time on what is needed.
I am keen for anyone to join in and see if it does the jobs that can be automated and would like to know if it doesn’t, exactly where it should be developed.
For now I have ripped apart the old QKSite and its functionality and rebuilding it afresh, my immediate concerns are the kinds of jobs I woul like it to do but I think and hope others will find it useful too.
